Guwahati (Assam) [India], April 15 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa on Tuesday prayed to the almighty for the welfare of all sections of the state’s people and said that Yagna carries positive energy and creates everlasting values in society.
It may be noted that the historic Sri Sri Vishnu Yagna, which is held annually, has already completed 103 glorious years of enriching people culturally and spiritually.
The occasion is marked with Yagna, which is done for five days in the Purnima Tithi of the month of Chaitra.
On the occasion, having prayed to the Almighty, he said that he felt happy and blessed getting the opportunity to attend the ancient Yagna.
He said that for the last 103 years, the yagna has been creating and spreading auspicious vibes in the society, promoting the values of human lives.
He, on the occasion, paid tributes to those personalities who were instrumental in starting the Yagna way back in 1922.
Stating that the Yagna attracts thousands of devotees every year, the Chief Minister extended his warm greetings to all the devotees for turning out in huge numbers.
CM Sarma highlighted the positive aspects of the Yagna and said that the congregation that takes place during the five days of the Yagna carries positive energy and creates everlasting values in society.
On the occasion, he said that, as committed earlier, he would provide special support for constructing a Bhavan at the Yagna Dham for the devotees to stay.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sarma inaugurated the Bahjani Mandal Office of the BJP at Bahjani in the Nalbari district.
Minister PHE, etc, Jayanta Mallabaruah, Minister Environment and Forest Chandra Mohan Patowary, MP Loksabha and President BJP Assam Pradesh Dilip Saikia, Former MP from Basti constituency UP Harish Dwivedi and a host of others were present on the occasion. (ANI)
