Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 15 (ANI): With tricolour in their hands and an unwavering devotion to the country, security forces participated in a grand Tiranga Yatra from Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Darshan Marg on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on Thursday.

Ayodhya Superintendent of Police, Raj Karan Nayyar spoke at the event and said, “Today on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day celebrations of the country here on August 15, security forces including district police, CRPF, SSF, PSC, ATS and the commando team, who were present at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya Dham area, started a Tiranga Yatra.”

“We started from Sugreev Kila to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk and concluded it with devotees joining in the Tiranga Yatra along the way,” said SP Nayyar.

The SP further said that the police band also held a performance at the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk on the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi early on August 15 morning hoisted the tricolour and addressed the nation from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort in Delhi on the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day.
Taking to X this morning, the Prime Minister said, “Independence Day greetings to my fellow Indians. Jai Hind!”
Prime Minister Modi first went to Rajghat in the national capital and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and then reached the Red Fort, where he inspected the Guard of Honour.
After hoisting the flag, PM Modi began his customary address to the nation from the ramparts of the iconic monument.
In his Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday outlined the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047, urging all Indians to work in mission mode 24X7 to achieve these goals.
PM Narendra Modi Ji’s address to the nation on Independence Day not only casts a panoramic view of a radiant future on the horizon but also instills in Bharat the power of the unwavering belief that it can achieve the same. Over the last 10 years, Bharat has charted a journey of self-transformation through course corrections. It is a new Bharat with citizen-driven governance. It is a new Bharat that firmly believes that 140 crore citizens can certainly achieve the greatness, prosperity and progress they deserve,” the Home Minister said in a post on X.
From early this morning, the Delhi sky was overcast and witnessed a slight drizzle.
After hoisting the Tricolour the Prime Minister received a ‘Rashtriya Salute’. The Punjab Regiment Military band, consisting of one JCO and 25 Other Ranks, played the National Anthem during the hositing, of the National Flag and presented the ‘Rashtriya Salute’. The band was conducted by Subedar Major Rajinder Singh.
The Indian Navy was the coordinating service this year. To increase Jan Bhagidari in this festival of national fervour, around 6,000 special guests were invited to witness the celebrations at Red Fort this year.
As soon as the National Flag was hoisted by the Prime Minister, flower petals were showered at the venue by two Advanced Light Helicopters (Dhruv) of the Indian Air Force in the Line Astern Formation.
The captains of the helicopters were Wing Commander Amber Agarwal and Wing Commander Rahul Nainwal.
The theme of this year’s Independence Day is ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’. The celebrations will serve as a platform to provide a renewed push to the government’s efforts towards transforming the country into a developed nation by 2047. (ANI)
