“People upset with both AAP and BJP,” says Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit – World News Network

New Delhi [India], January 26 (ANI): Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, Congress candidate from New Delhi Assembly, Sandeep Dikshit, on Sunday slammed both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to address key issues, stating that unemployment is a common concern for the people of Delhi, and both parties were failing to provide viable solutions.
“Unemployment is a common issue over which people in the national capital are upset with both AAP and BJP… Our job is to expose the truth of AAP to people who are still living on false hopes… Welfare happens when you build hospitals, schools and houses, not when you keep giving things for free,” said Dikshit.
He also criticised both parties for allegedly using money to influence voters, stating, “Both parties (AAP and BJP) are distributing money to the public (to buy votes). I would tell people to throw this money on their faces as they should not accept money earned through sin.”
Taking a dig at AAP’s Jangpura candidate Manish Sisodia, the Congress candidate pointed out, “If tasks were getting fulfilled under the Dy CM, why did he (Manish Sisodia) run from his Patparganj seat?”
As the Delhi Assembly elections approach, the triangular battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), AAP, and the Congress has intensified, with all parties criticising one another’s performance in developing the national capital.
The Delhi Assembly elections will take place in a single phase on February 5, with the counting of votes set for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are competing for the 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and failed to win any seats. In contrast, AAP dominated the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections, winning 67 and 62 seats, respectively, out of a total of 70 seats, while BJP secured only three and eight seats in these elections.
