New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government, also known as Modi 3.0, has prioritized significant advancements in science, technology, energy, and security to meet national needs and position India as a competitive economy.
In its first 100 days, the Modi 3.0 government has launched projects worth around Rs 15 lakh crore. These include key developments in the sectors of science, technology, energy, and security.
Key initiatives include the establishment of a Rs 1,000 crore venture capital fund for space startups, the successful launch of the EOS-08 satellite aboard SSLV-D3 on August 16, the creation of the National Research Fund with an allocation of Rs 50,000 crore, and the launch of the ‘Vigyan Dhara’ scheme with Rs 10,500 crore.
As per sources, the first National Space Day was celebrated (in honour of the success of Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan).
Moreover, a semiconductor unit will be set up in Sanand, Gujarat, with an investment of Rs 3,300 crore. It will have a production capacity of 6 million chips per day.
The technical advancements have made the country the second-largest mobile producer, with the establishment of indigenous semiconductor facilities.
Additionally, for disaster management, a national database and the Bhuvan Panchayat portal for rural land records have been created.
In the fields of energy and security, the PM Modi-led government has given approval for hydroelectric projects in the Northeast: a joint venture between state entities and central public sector enterprises with an investment of Rs 4,100 crore.
Under the VGF (Viability Gap Funding) Scheme, an approval has been given for hydroelectric projects worth over Rs 12,400 crore.
The 100 days of welfare for the public also include the approval of offshore wind energy projects worth Rs 7,450 crore.
In the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the second tranche has been provided for electrolyzer manufacturing, increasing domestic electrolyzer manufacturing capacity to 1.5 gigawatts per year.
The Modi-government has also introduced a Green Credit Programme for PSUs for tree planting and environmental restoration.
The projects also include faster adoption and manufacturing of electric vehicles in India phase-III (FAME-III) scheme in the same direction.
Additionally, the JI-VAN Yojana is being used towards the promotion of advanced biofuels.
Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister for his third successive term at an impressive ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9, with 71 MPs from the BJP and its allies joining the party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
The council of ministers is a blend of youth and experience with senior BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar taking oaths of office.
Several young leaders from the BJP and allies, including first-time MPs, also made it to the council of ministers. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won its third successful term in the results of Lok Sabha polls declared on June 4. The NDA won 293 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, with the BJP getting 240 seats. (ANI)
