New Delhi [India], July 19 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here in the national capital and stated that he has received guidance from him on various important topics.
“Met the most popular leader on the world stage, Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and received his guidance on various important topics. Your affection and sensitivity towards the people of Haryana is amazing. We have full faith that under your strong leadership, the country and our state, Haryana, will continue to achieve great heights by climbing the ladder of happiness, prosperity and all-round development,” wrote CM Saini taking to the social media platform X.
Speaking to ANI, CM Saini said, “Today I met the Prime Minister. PM Modi has discussed the development work going on in Haryana and has also inquired about the work to be done in the coming time. Prime Minister Modi has also inquired about the schemes that the Central Government is making for the poor, whether the benefits are reaching the people or not. In the coming time, there are assembly elections in Haryana…We will form the government in Haryana with a huge majority for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Notably, Haryana is one of the eight states that will be holding legislative assembly elections this year. Currently, the state is ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 are expected to take place on or before October 2024, as the current Assembly’s tenure is set to end on November, 3 this year. However, the election schedule is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party announced on Thursday that it will be contesting the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana on its own. The AAP contested one seat in Haryana in the recent Lok Sabha election in alliance with the Congress.
Mann further said that AAP will form a team, contest elections and defeat the double-engine government in Haryana, which ruled the state for 10 years, as the people of Haryana want change.
This time, AAP will be contesting in all 90 assembly seats in Haryana.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Saini also expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the state assembly election later this year. (ANI)
