Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], August 5 (ANI): Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, has approved the revision of pension/family pension (Pre-2016 and post-2016) of Retired Judicial Officers of Government of Haryana as per Second National Judicial Pay Commission (SNJPC).
For pre-2016 retired judicial officers, the pension will be revised by multiplying the existing basic pension (as of 31st December 2015) by a factor of 2.81, rounded off to the next higher rupee.
Alternatively, the pension can be revised by notionally fixing their pay as per the Fitment Table of the Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch) and the Haryana Superior Judicial Service Revised Pay Rules, 2023.
For post-2016 retired judicial officers, pension calculation will follow the provisions of Rule 34 of the Haryana Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2016.
Further, dearness relief will be admissible on the additional quantum of pension as per existing orders. The maximum limit of Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity shall be Rs 20 Lakh, the ceiling on gratuity will increase by 25 per cent whenever the dearness allowance rises by 50 per cent of the basic pay.
It is stated that the Pension Disbursing Authorities will calculate and disburse the arrears of the revised pension with effect from 1st January 2016, after adjusting the interim relief already paid. An undertaking will be obtained from the pensioners to refund any excess payment due to incorrect consolidation. (ANI)
