Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 23 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday evening expressed his gratitude towards the organisers and participants of a drone show that has set five world records. These records include the largest planet formation, the largest landmark creation, and the largest airplane formation. The drone show was part of the two-day Amaravati Drone Summit 2024 held at the banks of the Krishna River.
“I congratulate all the organisers and participants for their talented performances and for making this event a grand success,” Naidu said.
Naidu posted on X, saying, “This evening, I joined my people of Amaravati to watch a brilliant drone show that made five Guinness World Records. I congratulate all the organizers and participants for their talented performances and for making this event a grand success. This is the dusk that marked the dawn of the drone era in AP, with the future hovering right above us – and it’s looking bright!”
Earlier, Naidu along with Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu attended the two-day Drone Summit in Amaravati and shared a roadmap for the advancement of drone technology in the state.
While addressing the gathering, Naidu informed about his vision to make Amaravati the “drone capital of India” and allocated 300 acres of land in Kurnool district to develop a drone hub. The Chief Minister also declared that 35,000 drone pilots will be trained which will position Andhra Pradesh as a human resource hub for drone technology.
Naidu also said that the state government will release a comprehensive drone policy within 15 days so that there is an ease of doing business for drone manufacturers and innovators. “Amaravati will become the drone capital of India, and Andhra Pradesh will lead the way in drone technology,” the Chief Minister said.
Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu said that more than six thousand people participated in the Amaravati Drone Summit and a lot of people are showing enthusiasm towards the drone industry. He also praised CM Naidu for encouraging such technological inventions. (ANI)
