“Himanshu Bhau promised me visa to US,” says Annu Dhankar during police interrogation – World News Network

New Delhi [India], October 26 (ANI): During interrogation by Delhi police, Annu Dhankar, a key accused in the murder of a gang member in a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden in June revealed that she was friends with gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Sahil Ritolia who had promised to arrange a US visa and other documents to immigration to the United States at their expense. She was also promised a lavish life in the US, accorrding to officials.
During investigation of the murder, police found that Dhankar befriended the victim on social media and lured him to the spot where he was shot by members of the Himanshu Bhau gang
Dhankar was arrested from the India-Nepal border by Delhi Police’s Special Cell as she was trying to cross the border.
As per Delhi police officials, during the interogation Dhankar revealed that after the murder at in Rajouri Garden, she went back to Mukherji Nagar PG and collected her belongings.
She subsequently boarded a bus at ISBT Kashmiri Gate and went to Chandigarh by bus and reached Katra via Amritsar.
While she was in a guest house in Katra, Himanshu Bhau asked her to vacate the guest house immediately and after this she took a train to Jalandhar and further went to Haridwar by bus via Chandigarh.
She stayed at Haridwar for three to four days and then went to Kota by bus and stayed there in a PG at Talwandi, Kota, Rajasthan for four months. During this period, she was in contact with Bhau and Sahil, they used to send her money online through a shop vendor/money exchanger, officials said.
On October 22, she was told by Bhau that now the matter had cooled down and instructed her to vacate her PG accomodation. He further told her that she could come to the US through Dubai via Nepal. Accordingly, she left her PG and reached Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh via Lucknow. While waiting to cross the border at the appropriate time on the instructions of Bhau, she was apprehended at Indo-Nepal border by a team of Special Cell who had reached there.

Earlier in the month of July, the Delhi Police Crime Branch in a joint operation with Haryana Special Task Force (STF) gunned down three shooters associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang.
The encounter happened in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat, Haryana by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police and Haryana STF.
The three shooters were identified as Ashish alias Lalu, Sunny Kharar, and Vicky Ridhana.
Out of the three killed; Ashish and Vicky were involved in the Burger King shootout incident.
On June 18, three people came on a bike to the Burger King outlet on Najafgarh Road at Rajouri Garden and killed Aman Joon who came to meet his girlfriend at 9:30 pm.
Gangster Himanshu Bhau, in a social media post, claimed responsibility for the shooting as revenge for killing one of his close associates “Shakti Dada.”
The three criminals were wanted by Haryana Police and Delhi Police. All three also carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh each as announced by the Haryana Police.
Ashish was wanted in 13 cases and is allegedly involved in around 18 cases of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, and petrol pump robbery, the police said.
Sunny was allegedly involved in 4-5 cases of murder, attempt to murder, and firing.
Notably, Interpol has also issued a red-corner notice against Himanshu Bhau.
Earlier in May, Delhi Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the Himanshu Bhau Gang for their continuous involvement in unlawful activities.
This came weeks after the gang fired at the Fusion car showroom in Delhi. The gang also demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crores from the owner of the car showroom. (ANI)
